I've been back for some time but I've only now gotten around to sorting through trip photos that were not taken on a Nexus One.

Hiked up to Kleine Scheidegg today. This is the train to the Jungfraujoch, "the top of Europe".
Alpenglow on the mountains.
We are heading back to Rosenlaui, which is now just one pass away. Planning to do some hiking around here for a couple of days.
We've now entered Italian-speaking Switzerland. It feels like an entirely different country.
Descended Grimsel and ascended Furka in the morning (you can see the switchbacks, right to left).
Climbed 1850m to an elevation of 2165m today. (It's cold up here, and very beautiful.) This ride demolished me. For dinner I had two pork cutlets, vegetables, a plate of fries, a pan of eggs, a pastry, and beer.
Passed through Rosenlaui, two weeks earlier than anticipated due to weather-related plan changes. (We'll spend the next two weeks heading east, back to Munich.) This is Staubbach Falls in Lauterbrunnen valley.
Meiringen, birthplace of the meringue. This is the building next to the hotel we nearly stayed at... as it burned down.
A sudden late-afternoon thunderstorm forced us to take cover at a tiny hotel. This is the view from my room after the clouds passed.
Arrived safely this morning with Piaw, Lisa, Cynthia, and Kekoa. We took the subway to downtown Munich.
